What are the hours of operation?
Hours vary depending on shows and events. Please see calendar for date specific hours. On non show days we are open Monday-Friday 3pm-Until with happy hour running from 3pm-9pm featuring $2 domestic beers and $2 well drinks.
Do i need a photo ID to enter the venue?
Yes. At all times. ABC law is very strict and requires everyone entering the venue to have a valid photo ID. This can be a Drivers License, Passport, Non-driver ID, or Military ID. Minors under the age of 16 or that do not yet have a drivers license can be “signed in” under their parents or legal guardian without an ID.
Where do i purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased at AMB during regular business hours, on-line via our website homepage, Serdas Coffee Co. 3 South Royal St. 36602 in downtown Mobile, & at Mellow Mushroom’s West Mobile location at the intersection of University & Old Shell, across from University of South Alabama campus.
Where do i park?
We are in Downtown Mobile’s Entertainment District where parking is primarily street side & free. You can park on either side of Dauphin St. after 5pm on weekdays and all day on Saturday & Sunday. There is a public parking lot a block down from our venue but space is limited. the larger ones are further down and primarily off of streets running parallel to the 300 block of Dauphin St. All are within 2 blocks walking distance.
Do you serve food?
Yes. Food is served upstairs at all shows, events, and most weeknights. The menu varies daily. Check the website for date specific details.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express
Does the venue have an ATM on site?
Yes. There is an ATM located immediately inside the front door.
How old do you have to be to attend a show or event?
We are an 18+ venue unless otherwise specified on our ticket and events website. All matinees are All Ages. There is a curfew in downtown Mobile that prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from being downtown after 10pm on weekdays and Midnight on weekends. As a result, we run all ages shows as matinees. Check specific events for details on age restrictions and showtimes.
What is your re-entry policy?
No re-entry for anyone under 21 on all ages matinees. No re-entry for anyone under 21 on ALL ticketed events.
Is there wheelchair accessibility?
Yes. Our first floor is ground level and the entry is on a very slight incline directly off of the sidewalk. There is no wheelchair access to the second floor.
Is there seating?
We are a general admission, standing room only venue. We have about 40 stools divided between the two floors and they are first come first serve. For larger shows we move all chairs upstairs and take tables out back. There are 8 tables upstairs attached to the rail that are great spots to have for shows.
Is smoking permitted inside the venue?
Yes on most non-show nights. Most ticketed shows are non-smoking. We have a courtyard and a second floor balcony where smoking is ALWAYS permitted.
What are your photo/video policies?
Photo & Video policies are at the bands discretion and are subject to change night to night. You may bring your camera with the understanding that no photos or videos are allowed and may need to return it to your vehicle. We politely request NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY at shows. This is not strictly enforced but may be if used in excess. If you wish to take still pictures or video of a specific show or artist, we strongly recommend contacting the band or their management prior to their performance at AMB. For all professional photographer and media pass inquiries please contact David – alabamamusicbox@me.com **We do ask that we reserve the right to use any and all still photo & video you take at AMB and to retain the right to publish, print, or duplicate it in any was we see fit for use by the venue. We will not let other people privately use your work for profit or otherwise**
What items are NOT permitted in the venue?
Backpacks, over-sized purses, weapons, outside beverages, bad attitudes.
